The community of West Pasco, WA emerged out of the larger city of Pasco itself, from newly incorporated land on the area’s west side. About 4,000 people live in West Pasco, covering less than four square miles of land.

The area now referred to as West Pasco is distinguished from the older parts of Pasco to the east.

 

New housing tracts, apartments and shopping centers in West Pasco have increased the region’s population overall in recent years. Many Tri-Cities residents have chosen to live in West Pasco for its central location and availability of new housing. West Pasco ranks the highest in per-capita income for all of Franklin County.
